Google Wave incorporates a lot more features that make it more useful as an email replacement, and as a collaborative tool. Joel and I had a nice long discussion about it. He thinks that it wont take off in the corporate world, particularly in Law because the Law Societies are run by stubborn, set, 70year old white men who point blank refuse to change their ways. I hope that, in light of the recent crash, corporates will wake up and realise that they're going to have to move with the times and stop being terrified of technology in order to survive. That said, I think that the open source aspect of it will hopefully trump the general stubbornness of big business. Regardless, I'm super excited! Though I think I'm going to have to learn python and/or java if I want to keep up with where the internets are going...
